CONCRETE EXPANDS TO ENCOMPASS THE FACILITY IN DEAN STREET

Concrete, one of the leading post houses based in Soho and the first facility to host a 3D Stereoscopic suite in Europe, is delighted to announce that it has expanded to encompass "The Facility", 62 Dean Street.

The expansion strengthens Concrete by allowing clients of both companies, further access to even more high-end facilities, creative talent, extremely experienced employees combined with the best technology in the industry. By taking this positive step forward, Concrete has effectively and strategically broadened its services in the marketplace by opening its doors to producers of drama programmes and noteworthy high profile broadcast projects.

Concrete will trade from both of its well-situated current premises at 34-35, Dean Street as well as the former "The Facility" premises based at 62 Dean Street. Both locations will operate and be branded as Concrete. "The Facility" Directors Alex Goodes, Jason Kosbab and John Howard will join the board at Concrete Post Ltd and take on senior management roles. "To join with a company like Concrete will allow us and Concrete to offer clients a fantastic range of post production services spread over two Soho sites." Jason Kosbab, Joint MD of "The Facility" confirmed.

This advancement also adds substantial value with its additional multiple editing and finishing suites as well as another 5.1 Pro-tools audio suite enhancing Concrete''s already impressive facility list. This list includes six high-end HD compositing and grading suites, multiple editing suites as well as a graphic design department, CGI and audio design. Concrete also has the advantage of being the home to Europe''s first Stereoscopic (3D) Quantel iQ Pablo suite. The new site will also offer multi-format duplication, encoding and distribution services.

In correlation, Concrete has also just employed a number of key talented staff members from "Beach 74", formerly ArenaP3, which went into administration recently. These include Business Development Manager, Anthony Hayward with Dan Marsh; Senior Editor, Jenny Wright; Editor, James Dale; Reiko Shimazaki on bookings; Colourist Russell Rowe and Audio Designer, Folu Ososanya . Along with existing staff members at "The Facility", the enlarged team will significantly now enable Concrete to offer its creative resources to broadcast producers as well as providing more choice and flexibility to its existing clients. This considerable progressive growth will give Concrete the opportunity to propel its current visual effects and grading capabilities even more so, giving it the ability and muscle to attract both long form and short form work to its suites.

Concrete''s Joint MD, David Cox stated: "Combining Concrete, "The Facility" and selected creative talent from the former "Beach74" allows us to provide more creative and flexible choices to our mutual existing clients, as well as being able to offer Concrete's high-end visual effects and finishing services to broadcast programme producers. Having a second location just 50 metres from our current address allows us more room to grow and react quickly to opportunities as they arise."
